Our story begins in Russia in 1999 when Founder Bobby Heckel was adopted at the age of 1 by a loving family in Wisconsin.

One day, a couple from Wisconsin visited the children's home where Bobby was living. They had come to Russia to adopt a child and had been looking at profiles of children who were available for adoption. When they saw Bobby's photo, they knew that he was the one they had been searching for.

The couple and Bobby fell in love with each other immediately, and they knew that they were meant to be family. The couple returned to the United States to finalize some documents and told Bobby that they would return in a couple of weeks. However, when the parents finally did return, they could not find Bobby anywhere. The orphanage said in broken English, "Baby sick find new baby."

The couple fought for nine months, a record in the adoption process history at that time, but Bobby finally found a home. Once Bobby found his home, all sorts of tests were done as the parents noticed he was not physically developing at the same rate as the other children. Bobby was diagnosed with mild cerebral palsy, which can affect individuals in different ways depending on the severity and location of the brain injury that caused it. Cerebral palsy is a neurological condition that affects movement and coordination and typically results from damage to the brain during fetal development or early childhood. Some of the symptoms include muscle stiffness or tightness, weakness, spasticity, poor balance and coordination, and delayed motor milestones.

Bobby was told he would never walk, talk or develop normally, but as if the grace from God had come down, Bobby's grandmother, Ila, who was born profoundly deaf, made it her mission to prove them wrong. Bobby, with his grandmother's help, eventually learned how to walk, talk, and even play sports, something he had always dreamed of. Bobby and his grandmother used to always sign to each other "I love you," which became the symbol of Forever Love It.
